Grade 4 - Regions of Alberta

Alberta, is a province in Canada. It encompasses mountains, boreal forests, six hundred lakes, foothills, grassland, parkland, and the Rocky Mountains. A vast province full of picturesque scenery, fabulous cities, a tourist attraction with so much to offer, until Covid-19 struck, that is .... Covid -19, First detected Approximately in March 2020 Stats as of today but ever changing by the hour Current Hospitalizations - 357 in Alberta Current ICU cases - 68 Total deaths - 3,275 and growing Active Cases - 4,182 and growing Total Covid 19 Vaccinations administered - 7,147,330 and changing One dose only of the Vaccine -89.2% Population totally vaccinated -84.8% State of Public Health Emergency Masking Mandate Handwashing Don't touch face Physical Distancing Isolating No travelling effects tourism Loss of tourist income School shutdowns People lose jobs Some people working from home Stay at home orders Covid - 19 Passports required Residents and staff in nursing homes dying Military called in to help And in every province of Canada it is the same story. And a story we share with the United States, for example .... Hey Constance : Though the "prarie lights are burnin' bright" I doubt I'll be Alberta Bound anytime soon. Besides, "those winds sure blow cold way out there."

Yes, Covid can be a serious illness for the ages and those with a compromised immune system, but did you know the survival rate is 97% to 99%? So, I have to wonder why the Governments wants EVERYONE to take a vacinne, by force if necessary? BTW I had Covid. "Experts don't have information about the outcome of every infection. However, early estimates predict that the overall COVID-19 recovery rate is between 97% and 99.75%." Aug 7, 2021 https://www.webmd.com

Chetta, thanks for visiting my poem. I find the statistics are very hard to understand and fathom really, and change by the minute. Sometimes I also thing the experts are guessing about Covid ~ peace and tranquility _Constance

Wow, Constance, this write required a lot of research. I admire your diligence. And some refuse to take it seriously...how can they? What is the ratio of deaths between the vaccinated and the unvaccinated since vaccines became available? I wonder. The deaths I am hearing about, in any case, are mostly among the unvaccinated! Sad!

Milt, thanks for the visit, it did take a long of research not even sure if my numbers are totally accurate as it is a changing situation, thanks for the compliment, yes I think you are right about the deaths of the unvaccinated, at least that seems to be the case in my province of Ontario but who really knows ~ peace and tranquility _Constance

In a fact check of the claim that "7 of 10 Covid deaths in the UK" are vaccinated persons. 70% of Covid deaths are in vaccinated people. Fact check.org says: The 70% figure is correct. In its week 38 report, Public Health England — which has been replaced by the UK Health Security Agency — reported there were 3,158 deaths from COVID-19 from Aug. 23 through Sept. 19 and 2,284 of those individuals (72.3%) had received their second vaccine shot at least 14 days earlier. However, the same report shows vaccination rates approaching or exceeding 90% for age groups 60 and older, the group that accounts for 86.5% of all deaths in that time period.
