Airport Fish
AIRPORT FISH
Silver fish glide down to the bottom of the air ocean to feed.
Reprovisioned, they leap up again, well-behaved breed.
Seen from the tower glass panels they move in silent control,
Constantly, around the ocean, always alone, never in shoal,
Silently monitored by beeping flickering radar screen.
Their silver fins shimmering in sunlit sheen,
Silver noses pressing orderly, eagerly in the air-bath;
Silver trails show their straight and narrow path.
