Age Doesn'T Matter When You'Re In Love
Listen to poem:
There is just something about his soft skin,
he has the complexion of an ivory turtle dove.
Maybe he’ll light my heart deep within,
I guess age doesn’t matter when you’re in love.
Some may call this situation a sin,
I call it falling in love with my soulmate Brinn.
He may be older but together we are wise,
he sees me for the woman I always longed to be.
When I look into those deep chestnut eyes,
I see everything I’ve always wanted to see,
and I guess it can be no great surprise,
but about his age Brinn never lies.
He’s more mature than other men I know,
feeds me good intellect and expresses his feelings.
Of this intimate feeling I shall never let go,
for he brings my pitiful heart healing.
Releases my passion; may it free itself and grow,
he was born in heaven and has fallen down below.
Who says age should stand between my love and I?
they don’t hear my heart, the pitter-patter.
My friends put me down, always make me cry,
but I swear, in true love age does not matter.
So, I sit here by my windowpane and wonder why,
I can’t live without him even if I could try,
cause...age is not a good reason to ever say goodbye.
