Against the Wind

I stumble as I move forward. I cautiously attempt to turn around. I am not sure if I am going away from or toward. Uncertain of what direction I am bound. Do I have to always move ahead? Isn't it enough that I move at all? I could lag far behind, instead. Or I could just take a step and fall. No matter what direction I take. However I choose to get there. Whatever move I choose to make. I question myself, do I dare? I have discovered, that what I do, whether it is a blessing or a sin. Is never easy, always an issue. I am forever running against the wind.

Hello Sandra ... I guess life is not meant to be easy for many of us, and it can feel like a battle against the wind, but somehow, someway there is a through it - thank you Sandra - Lindsay

Thank you, Lindsay. No, life is not always easy. The wind, either friend or foe. Both I think...

I sense this poem and several of your poems I have read recently Sandra reflect your honest, deep inner feelings and your wrestling with life choices. Poetry is a powerful medium and this is a powerful poem. I'm sure the choices you make will be the right ones and that your poetry will both guide and support. Cheers - Gary
