I can see a trickle of teardrops fall where innocence died, watering the flowers that a grieving parent lovingly laid on the ground. I can hear the cries of so many mothers weeping for their murdered child, overwhelmed by grief and numb to any other pain. I can feel the palatable sadness that saturates the air till it hurts to take a breath. I can sense the shock and disbelief that has befallen this community shaking the foundations of their faith. I know nothing of what they feel and I pray no one else will ever suffer such unimaginable pain. Although, in my heart I fear that this will, without a doubt, happen again and again. Emile, your poem is so poignant and reveals the devastation experienced by the families. How we wish these sad events had not taken place ... and will not take place ever again.
