A false heart loves in careless haste,
resulting in a sense of shame.
We then feel dirty and debased,
filled with self-loathing and self-blame,
leaving a rotten aftertaste.
Lovers should always feel the same.
When your heart was not in it,
you feel like a piece of dirt, unfit.
When you have found your special one,
loving her can never be wrong.
You know you've only just begun,
and you are with whom you belong.
Soaking in warm rays of the sun,
your heart cannot contain its song.
To the world, you want to say "hello".
A true heart feels the afterglow.
