After Dark

Before I came here I knew I’m gonna be alone this night Whence be darkness so near Have I not another within my sight? Time regardlessly to regard Perhaps too early, perhaps a never was An after to only bring up my guard Yet before, have I not known a cause I wasn’t to know Or... perhaps I already knew Yet who be there to show? When true be reasoned with the unreal An afterdark to belong in silence An afterglow I did not embrace Who did I become to listen? Where is myself I’m to face? After I came here Might I still be alone this night? When its darkness I can draw near Yet where be another within my sight
