After a few years
In a winter evening
I Riding bicycle on a quiet village road
When the sun setting.
The sprawling roadside paddy fields
Brown with stubble
Peaceful in that solitude.
In the paddy field at the distance
A young couple going, man in dhoti and kurta,
Woman in traditional ceremonial garb.
To home they might be returning
After attending a ceremony.
How the sight so charming !
Today after a few years
The road once calm is busy
Schools, houses built over the paddy fields
The rural landscape there then
Peaceful and charming
Will not be seen again.
