Adorable Quiqui

Adorable QuiQui A green-feathered, yellow head beauty, that’s my prized pet parakeet, QuiQui. Even when she’s often crabby and snappy, she succeeds in making me extremely happy. QuiQui loves dipping and diving into her bird bath, and hanging from a perch in her cage, like an expert acrobat. She also enjoys shaking water from her wet wings, gazing impishly into her toy mirror wildly shrieking. Relishing her seeds and red strawberry millet treats, nonchalantly she ignores my sweet endearments and tweets. But she shows off her long, elegant, tapered blue tail, Sitting silently and contentedly unloading quite a poop trail. ahhh, how cute. a prima donna bird! My mother loved her bird too but it died. She won't have a cat or dog because she finds animals too dirty. Anyway, I bet a bird like QuiQUi is wonderful to have. Makes you wonder how much love they are capable of having for us!!

Andrea, thanks again for your lovely comments. And I am sorry about your mother's loss. These little birds are quite smart, funny and make good companions. Many times my bird is in charge because when she is not in the mood for interaction, I just have to wait until she is good and ready to accept my petting! lol.

Pandita, good write. I love birds, but outside, “Sitting silently and contentedly unloading quite a poop trail." My brother lives next door to me and he owns 6 parrots, 3 varieties and 2 love birds. They do get pretty noisy. :) love and hugs eve
