my garden is ravaged weary . . .
withered roses in a blue vase
murmur of drowsy sun-drenched days
oh, adieu ~ picnics in the green
ta-ta, sun hats, sandals, swim suits . . .
bye-bye shorts and sundresses
and farewell to . . . cricket songs at dusk _
