Addiction

No motivation. Alienation. What's wrong with you? No stimulation except for the intoxication that compels you. You can't even stand to look at yourself. You've exhausted all of your financial and spiritual wealth. You will remain in this state until the time comes when you can truthfully admit, "I Can't Do This To Myself. I Can't Beat This By Myself. I Need Help. I Am An Addict."

People need help in beating addictions, Bill. Your poem shows great insight and I do think people in AA get strength from their peers who are trying to lick alcoholism. Well done, my friend. Love, Carolyn

an addiction, such a fixation, on liquid, mass, or sort of relation. An addiction I can't sour is the feeling of love, I want, need it, and devour. But hopefully whatever color your mist, will become clear while your heart is given time to strengthen and untwists.
