Oh Kelly how sad you make me feel, it must have been hard growing up with only one parent, but I am sure you have grown up a better person for it, no I could never imagine me bringing my children up on my own let alone being cruel, my daughter is lucky bringing up her son on her own, but she has Peter and I to help as she lives with us......take care...Vera...

Hi Michael, that limerick came to me after watching a TV program, in fact I didn't even know it was a limerick until Peter told me, sometimes I get little verses going through my head and I have to grab a pen and write it down before I forget it, no I have never done any writing, even though I loved poetry at school and that was a damn long time ago, thank you so much for writing Michael, take care........Vera...

So sad Sam, but this seems to be the way of the world these days, both Peter and I had the security of both parents, I suppose we are the lucky ones, so I expect my children to have the security, actually these words just popped out of my head after watching a TV show, so that really inspired me, thank you so much for reading it.......Vera................

Anne-Lise thank you so much for your comment, actually I didn't even know it was a limerick until Pete read it and he was in shock, it was funny because I was thinking about this all night and when I got up I rushed in and said to Pete I want a pen and paper or I would have forgotton it so I jotted it down and he was more surprised than me.
