Acorn Boy and Mushroom Dog
Acorn boy met mushroom dog in the autumn, it was fine.
They both were lost in the forest, finding each other in time.
They cuddled up during winter and shared all the food they had.
This kept them both from starving, so they were really glad.
In the spring they frolicked, loving their woodland peace.
But the violets were not happy, they wanted their talk to cease.
They asked them to move on, nasty elves pushed them to the edge.
They slipped in at night; during the day they hid beneath a hedge.
