Absolution

Go look in the garden she waits for you there with a handwritten pardon and dreams in her hair or maybe the pantry where she eats her cake leaving white crumbs from the poems I bake or maybe the river gazebo at night with moonbeams on madness it seems almost right the meadow in March seems to be her delight she gathers the stardust that falls in the flight of butterfly wishes adrift on the breeze where winter has wandered away through the trees forgiving as Heaven her eyes hold your heart she hopes you will find her and make a new start
