They say absence does indeed make the heart grow fonder Still, with the missing of your presence, I sit and ponder I've sifted and searched throughout past channels in my mind I've seeked out answers to questions I'll never find Left with a permanent scar deep within my heart A hindering thirst for knowledge as to why you did part My mind wanders the most on father's day Your absence leaves an emptiness that won't go away Whatever your reasons and wherever you are, I wish you the best Happy fathers day dad, maybe someday we'll lay these questions to rest
