ABOUT THE LAST TRAIN

When the weather was so mild, I would go as a young child, seeing the train that was wild. I loved the big long red train, it would come again ~ again. One day the train had to end, I cried ~ I lost my best friend.

I was so sorry when the steam engines and their lonely and eerie whistles disappeared. I loved to sit and listen as they passed during the night. The last one I heard "in the wild" was around 2000. I enjoyed this write a lot Paula. hugs! :)

Many tains have been mothballed. We still have toy trains and train hobbyists. Your poem is a nostalgic look back at history. Good luck.

I rode on the Pacific Coast Liner from the San Francisco Bay Area to Seattle. I enjoyed it very much, and I hope that many people will try to ride on trains at least once in their lifetime—a poignant conclusion for a beloved friend: a memorable write, my friend, Aloha.

From the locomotive to the bullet train, every generation make their own memoirs as I did with the train. As teens we'd take our chances on in the tunnel on the ledge, once for me was enough! It's was too frightening. Love your train poem & the display~ GL October blessings!
