Notes About The Poem

Abortion - the Other Side of the Debate - Emotive Write

Sally was an innocent 12 year old...
Innocent until she went to the park to meet a lad she'd met on line
She told her parents she was going out
was just meeting a friend

On that fateful August evening her life changed forever
Stripped of her innocence
Brutally gang raped by a group of 5 young men
A month later it was discovered she was pregnant...

In circumstances like these ... would you deny a girl an abortion

Fiction poem but I have read of events like this happening for real

Gershon Wolf Date: 7/5/2018 2:11:00 AM 'Rational answer:' Too many unknown factors to decide anything here: Views of the girls' parents, grandparents, and older siblings; views of her minister(s)/clergyperson(s), if any; her physical well-being; health of the foetus; socio-economic status/caste; support available any which way (i.e., abortion, adoption, keeping baby). The only proviso to all this is that the government should keep the H out of this decision. It is between the individuals involved and their Maker. Bonnie House Date: 7/4/2018 4:16:00 PM Jan, this is a very hard question in the fact I don't believe in abortion myself. I was adopted so I would go with adoption first. If the girl should keep her baby she would need a lot of tender, loving care and much support. I could not judge her if she or her family chose abortion but think she would have more problems if she did have one. For myself abortion is not for me, but it is not my place to tell someone else what to do... And there are pros and cons to the topic of abortion. But a brutal rape crosses the line of if one is for or against it. And we must not judge.
