Abandoned
I still recall that dark September day
When you told me that you would be leaving
I’d fallen for you and you’d had your way
My broken heart I was not concealing
I started to cry and began pleading
But your big blue eyes were as cold as steel
This affair you did not try to conceal
You packed your bags and just walked out on me
Your lover’s name you would never reveal
You used me but I was too blind to see
