A Walk On The Beach

It comes over you like a wave, that beautiful feeling of inner peace that nourishes your soul.

With my wife
I'd gone for a break
to the coast,
woke at four
and went downstairs for coffee,
then out for a walk.

It was dark
and no one about,
and I could 
hear the sea 
lapping at the waters edge,
natures symphony.


The bright moon
cast its moonlight on
the water
down below,
and I felt an inner peace,
alone with my thoughts.
