A Truthful Mirror

I reflect the truth, yet you see a lie
I'm just a humble mirror, I wonder why
I love the shape, of your beautiful face
Why when you look, do you feel such disgrace?

The curve of your breasts, a delightful sight
You see them as misshapen and not quite right
The clothes you try on, somehow trick your mind
When you think you are fat, I think you're quite blind

If I were magic, I'd help you to see
All that is true, when you look into me
Upon reflection, you'd be satisfied
You'd marvel and feel, a measure of pride

For no other women, can compare to you
So uniquely splendid, please see what is true
The sum of your parts, breathtaking and whole
A subtle confidence, bubbling up from your soul

My true pleasure, is witnessing your smile
For you are a woman, with beauty and style
No need to be afraid, when you look into me
Look beyond your fears and see what I see.

Every woman needs to read this. Us women tend to worry about our looks too much. Sometimes we forget how beautiful we are even in our flaws. Super 7!

We should only use a mirror to check if our smile is still there... I loved this poem, Rick. It is very inspiring. Every girl should read this!

What a great line, if I were looking in a mirror right now I would've smiling.

Very good take from a man's perspective. I believe, however, that those verses are true only when the "mirror" knows the woman personally and is acquainted with the other aspects of her personality and character. A 7. :)

I love this so much! This is so true, and really a wonderful explicit message that need to be accepted. My favorite line is "When you think you're fat, I think you are blind." Makes me chuckle for a bit. Straight to my fav box :). Just want to greet you in my morning, hug, yanny

I wish young girls especially were able to do this. It would cut down on the eating disorders.

Each person is endowed with beauty and I wish they were able to see it.

We are all slaves to our perceptions, yet when we allow our true beauty to shine through we open ourselves to a world of possibilities. Emile.

Beauty is most apparent when it comes from the inside and manifests itself in the physical world. I have known many women who become increasingly more beautiful as I have come to know them.

It's strange how we can't see ouselves as others see us.

The rarest of people are the ones that help us see ourselves as they do. I think mothers are especially gifted in that way.

Women never believe we are worthy of praise Keep putting mirrors in our sight and we may begin to believe we are beautiful. Well done from a man's perspective. Love Mom
