A Tribute To Black Women
People say she is built with rage and has a
Heart that is solid as a concrete.
I say there is no fire within her, suffering is within her when she tries to speak
Her opinions and truths without silence.
Though she had struggle through her tribulations,
She continues to stand and walk to her path.
She is saddened to see her own male species present hate towards
Melanin women for an exotic taste, especially vanilla.
She's not worried, she knows there are plenty of fellow melanin
That will walk into her doorstep.
She even has a different taste of flavors of her own.
In this time of civilization, they do not see her as the definition of beauty
For what they believe, but she does not seek as she continues to
Wear her curves and her skin proudly.
Humanity tries to deny her radiance,
Yet she still walks with grace as she
Swings her hips with pride.
