A Tribute To Black Women

People say she is built with rage and has a
Heart that is solid as a concrete.
I say there is no fire within her, suffering is within her when she tries to speak
Her opinions and truths without silence.

Though she had struggle through her tribulations,
She continues to stand and walk to her path.

She is saddened to see her own male species present hate towards
Melanin women for an exotic taste, especially vanilla.
She's not worried, she knows there are plenty of fellow melanin
That will walk into her doorstep.
She even has a different taste of flavors of her own.

In this time of civilization, they do not see her as the definition of beauty
For what they believe, but she does not seek as she continues to
Wear her curves and her skin proudly.
Humanity tries to deny her radiance,
Yet she still walks with grace as she
Swings her hips with pride.

Being a cool gentlemen of color, I for one have not let beauty of any color past by me unnoticed. And I'll admit I went through a faze with women of the Caucasian persuasion. But I married my shorty, the love of my life. And yes I am one of the men in poem. Nicely done.

I like the effort you made being a woman of color wearing that mighty melanin. I love black women I married a black woman. So you’ll forgive me if I feel that you came up a little short in your description in this poem.

Thank you. I express how I feel. It's just not only my experience, but a lot of black women experience struggles and colorism. We still do.

Wonderful . If it had a little crop here and there for a better flow , this would have been stronger and more elegant. The expression do give us the feeling so strong. Keep on good show. #People say she is built with rage and has a Heart that is solid as a concrete# *People say she is built with rage And a heart as solid as concrete* Is one humble suggestion but after all the feelings that matter.
