Dear Fridge, you’re getting up in years. Oh, my! How many now? You must be twenty-five! The dishwasher already I’ve seen die. How ever have YOU managed to survive? Sir Oven also is a hanger-on, But rarely do I spend my time with HIM! I use his stove sometimes to cook upon. Too bad you kitchen things can’t keep me slim! You never rest! I open up your door. The produce you’ve been keeping fresh I see; The cheeses, breads, and butter, even more: Cold casseroles and pizza tempting me! I do not clean you often. That is mean! I ought to prize more my appliance queen.

Love it, what a hoot. But I was just introducing a colleague to Sonnets, and this one was a little difficult to explain, you know from a formula perspective. We both had a bit of a chuckle though.

Hi Andrea, congratulations on your poem chosen POTD! A great fun Sonnet. Love it! We have an old Philco refrig in our bar from the 1950's that belonged to my parents. It holds a lot and still works like a charm! Fits in with our retro decor in the playroom. Sandra

I clean out my fridge once a year whether it needs it or not (just like my house) LOVE this my friend! You must SPEAK in sonnets...FYI, fridge years = dog years so that makes her... Uh let's see 7x25 equals-- (Now where did I put my calculator?) Anyway, she's definitely an old lady but PLEASE don't tell her I said that. I'm sure the years have been kind...

Never really thought of a frig as a priority but without it would be a mess. Again you make me laugh. Love the flow of this sonnet, you are so good at doing this.

One time on TV someone made the statement about how often in America people gave their ref a total cleaning and one famous star said never..People only wipe up spills..I liked the last cartoon..Reads like winning material to me..Way to go..Thanks for stopping by..Yes, Hairy is a stray long wire hired chihuahua..Sara
