A snail has thousands of teeth No wonder it is such a thief It gobbles my plants You should hear my rants Slug pellets will give some relief! I discovered from a quiz question that some species of snail can have over 25,000 teeth! 02~05~17

Hi Jan, well i didn't know about the teeth, little blighters. We get them a lot up here in Scotland also. My sister, next door, gets them more than us. One thing, i would never eat them, i know they are a delicacy in some countries. As always, you shine your light on another subject and out comes a skillful, fun limerick. I just had to drop by another one Jan. I always find my giggles. Another fave limerick and a fun seven heading your way. Hugs....Mike. XX

I'm sure some women wish there were pellets for some of the slugs they've come across. :) Love the info. Who knew they had teeth at all. I guess I just figured they were just kind of little slurpers. :)

Snails do leave a trail of destruction, Jan, but Maltese people (like the French) get their back on them...they cook and eat them!! They taste really good, but they're a cause of bad cholesterol. Hugs // paul

Lucky you don't have squirrels...they are relentless...spray a diluted mixture of cayenne pepper on the plants. It should do the trick

We don't have squirrels or foxes they are considered to be vermin and would upset the eco system here - I have written a poem about a squirrel I must post it one day:-) hugs Jan xx

The truth is that snails are eating my plants! I don't wish to kill them but I do not wish to let them destroy my garden either so I pick them up and take them to the country where I release them! What 25,000 teeth? Imagine the dentist bill dear, Jan! Haha! Hugs xxx

They must serve some purpose in the garden but what I don't know! The thrushes seem to find them and crack the shells on our paving!:-) hugs Jan xx

Um.....that's brand new information for me, Jan. Incredible...I guess that makes the gobbling easier. Poor Jan. Hope you find relief soon! ;)
