This life,
A trace I wish to live behind:
A poem reflecting upon each situation,
To share with those that will follow my passage in time;
My intention is not to teach or to inspire
But to show that 
Nothing is new,
Nothing is unique, and
Nothing is everlasting!

Very wise verse, Demetrios. To me learning is required for one to teach. A lesson can only be learned when experienced by an individual. One must internalize the the experience to know it and therefore be taught it. I spent the majority of my life teaching, sharing with others, setting the table. I gave all I could for them to ponder upon and consume as they chose. Most only nibbled. Poetry allows me to offer things to think on and I hope some will learn from themselves. Blessings, Bill

So good to see a fellow teacher, my good friend, Bill! I had the good fortune to teach students from all continents and had the opportunity to be directing some schools. It is true what you say. Aeschylus in his Agamemnon says: " It would be good that each one of us to learn by himself but since there is the danger for him to go astray, it would be preferable for him to learn by those who know and can teach." I agree with you that since we are writing poetry we ought to let those who read it learn by themselves. Bless you, my dear Bill.
