My home town, in the heart of the Blue Ridge
Whispers, like peace – joy that seems to breath
Inspiration, imagination, insight – building a bridge
Across the soul who needs to know, in spite of death…
There is a little town square where people gather
Families smiling and hearts feeling so gentle and caring
Giving to the town a feel of September, when we rather
Remember the summer and harvest the hope, comparing…
The love that abides in the heart of this little town
Is a love that is strong, forgiving and revealing
All the warmth of the mountains, the joy all around
Filling souls with assurance that God is alive – I’m kneeling!
