Notes About The Poem

A Taxing Situation

An audit caused me so much distress,
a demand arrived from IRS
I’ve interest to pay
or they’ll lock me away
my finances are in a huge mess!

Neat alcohol's one of my vices -
my wallet has hit a huge crisis,
much to my chagrin
I can’t afford gin
I’m angry at inflated prices!

You could write a limerick about that next. We are all taking up a little collection to get a bottle of something something to you, Jan. Merry Christmas. It may be there by New Year's.
