A Symbol of Love

Lyrics to be sung to 'Please Come Home for Christmas' People keep singing about Jesus' birth and of the reason He came to Earth The child was born, then died in strife So, we could have eternal life We should be singing about God's Son Who gave His life; a perfect one For the sins of mankind He was cursed and maligned His Father's will, so selflessly done His great sacrifice was the ransom price paid as a symbol of love It is the reason, the reason is clear that every year we thank God above So won't you join me in singing His praise Glory and honor to Jesus ~ always There'll be no more sadness, no death or pain For in Paradise, Jesus Christ will reign Instrumental interlude There'll be no sadness, His death not in vain and we'll be happy living under His reign December 15, 2021 A Christmas Carol Contest held by Regina McIntosh Lyrics to be sung to 'Please Come Home for Christmas'

Lin, your lyrics are a beautiful reminder of the reason we celebrate Christmas. Christ's birth and death are inseparable parts of the gospel message - God's plan to redeem sinners and grant them eternal life through the sacrificial ransom of His Son. Sublime truths rendered so poetically. Merry Christmas, friend ~ John
