A Symbol of Love
Lyrics to be sung to 'Please Come Home for Christmas'
People keep singing about Jesus' birth
and of the reason He came to Earth
The child was born,
then died in strife
So, we could have eternal life
We should be singing about God's Son
Who gave His life; a perfect one
For the sins of mankind
He was cursed and maligned
His Father's will, so selflessly done
His great sacrifice was the ransom price
paid as a symbol of love
It is the reason, the reason is clear
that every year we thank God above
So won't you join me in singing His praise
Glory and honor to Jesus ~ always
There'll be no more sadness, no death or pain
For in Paradise, Jesus Christ will reign
Instrumental interlude
There'll be no sadness, His death not in vain
and we'll be happy living under His reign
