A Surprise Before My Eyes
Oh my gosh what do I see
Waiting patiently for me
A little curled up ball of fur
Letting out a little purr
wearing a bow in a basket
Gently holding on I ask it
To be mine forever more
I will gladly take the chore
Of caring for this little one
It will be a lot of fun
Playing every day I know
Our friendship and care will grow
Into something we will cherish
In our hearts love will not perish
