A Sunny Good Morning

He puts on his brave mask, oozing CONFIDENCE
Walks with a SWAGGER in his gait, tilted FORWARD
SMILES broadly, whistling a HAPPY tune, as he
GREETS perfect strangers with a sunny 'GOOD MORNING'

Takes his accustomed seat on the train; views the
FINANCIAL news to scan the CRUCIAL developments
In the world of BUSINESS, his world, as he HURTLES
DOWNTOWN, to the land of SKYSCRAPERS, those

MAGNIFICENT monoliths, bastions of WEALTH and security
Now BRIMMING with enthusiasm, he EXUBERANTLY opens
The door to HIS OFFICE, logs on views his emails -- What's
this? -- "You've been replaced by a robot. HAVE A NICE DAY!"

Love it Gershon, reminds me of factories years ago with hundreds of workers now it only takes one or two to operate, it will get worse. Tom.

Yup. You're right, as usual. Thanks for commenting, my friend. Here's to retiring before the robots get us!

I couldn't of said it better my friend, the computer age is not as great as everyone thinks it is. No one creates anymore, mankind is losing that battle to machines and it's happening right before their eyes.

This is so telling, and true I am afraid. We will not know when we have been replaced until the robot sends us our final check. So sad, and so notoriously true. Will the robots keep paying us? I hope so.

Ha, ha: The robots are already paying us, aren't they? (Isn't everything done by AI/algorithm these days? … You're right; it's scary! :) gw
