A Summer Night

The dying of the day brings the beauty of the night, Twinkling stars in an ebony sky, Fireflies dancing on a gentle breeze, A full moon rising with its pale white light. Darkness subduing the glare of the sun, A new world dawning, the reign of the moon, This colorless world, so full of life Filled with mystery, excitement, fun! Insects singing in the new-mown grass, Joined by night birds with their lonely songs, The whisper of the wind, a soft, gentle sigh, Mother Earth cooling from the day that is past. Refuge for some, in the gloom of the dark, Or long-sought freedom in the light of the moon Each soul can find what it seeks in the eve, A place to hide, a love, a brand new start. The night lasts long, but never long enough, For soon the sunrise will dispel the gloom, The dawn comes slowly with splendor and color, But the night lingers on, fighting against death. With arms of gold, father sun gathers up the night, Colors return and the night-sounds fade. The night is gone, but soon it will return With beauty and peace, such a delight!

Hello Ron VanHooser, and try to see I also like the night. I look up to the sky and try to see the stars. Most evenigs the sky is clouded. I like the mountains They have shapes i see at the top. Like the face of a lion. or a human face.

Darlene, I love the night as it wraps itself around you with it's sounds, life and view into infinity in ways the day cannot offer. When traveling through the mountains where the air is so clear I used to pull off the road and lay on the hood of my car staring into the depths of space as I listened to the sounds of the night. Have a wonderful weekend! Ron
