A "special" Harvest

Children so special Labeled by society -- Morons, retarded Each has unique gifts Wide-eyed, forever smiling Offer them respect They have disabilities But treasures lie in their hearts Don’t measure life’s worth By capacity to learn -- Gauge power to love For the Harvest of Happiness contest

Hi Diane...lovely poem; not all children are born clever, but they all have their own special talents and know how to love and be loved in turn. #7 // May I take this opportunity to wish you a blessed and merry Christmas and all the best for 2015. hugs // paul

Thanks also for your comments, they are important to me. Thanks also Diane, in being able to see into my Poem Precept level importance. /The mind in and of itself can never see into the higher logic of Love's precept level of consciousness. Smile! Agape, Moses

Precept level poem write Diane(!), Love's presentation! The mind's concepts of learned knowledge must now take the back seat as Precept Love creates new horizons of new consciousnesses of the Sacred Hearts. These special children are somewhat detatched from what the mind terms normal, but they have connections through their hearts to God(Love) himself! This is the higher level of Love's Logic.

It's two of us who love children alike, and understand that their disabilities are our opportunities to love. All the best in the contest, my friend.

Truly beautiful, a heart warming piece to know others in our society still care - each of us is unique and all have things we can and can't do some more than others. anyone who has ever made the effort for these individuals will know the delights that can be brought through offering little more than time and encouragement. Thanks for stopping by to comment/read today, appreciated. Kindest thoughts, Anna-Marie.

Written from the Heart. When I grew up I lived in childrens homes where there were kids with disabilities. They were so caring and joyous, and always wanted to join in everything. Many a moment I can look back on. Thank you for your Soup Mail Diane >> James :)

This reads like a winner to me..Good luck in the contest..At one time children with disablities were kept at home but now they are out there so it is important to teach our children and grandchild to respect them for they each have a personhood that is special..I am glad that I chose this one to read today...Sara
