A Spark
As a guardian of kindness;
Perhaps noticing a need;
Of love perhaps now dwindled;
Bearing scares from some one’s greed
Does that light of your illumination flicker?
And the darkness now has grown
There are those who will defend you;
And you’ll know you’re not alone.
We are merely flesh and bone;
But we see the good in you
And love is closer than you think;
It waits- and this is true.
