A Soul's Prayer
A SOUL PRAYER
Not long ago on a dark and stormy winters night
A cold and empty forsaken soul watches as the light of the moon shines away the tears that roll down her pale young face
And just as she was about to close her curtains and tucks herself in
She looks up to the crystal sky one final time and begins to pray
Gods hiding behind a sky so blue
I hope that someday you’ll remember and pray for me
Cause in a few seconds or so I’m about to set free my soul and let her float away to greet you
So please forgive me
For I did what I had to do
For it was the only way I knew how to rid it of all the pain that burns inside of me
And please forgive me for a life filled with sin
As they bow and sing songs of sweet poetry of what a living hell my life truly is
But please don’t get me wrong
For I know that deep inside your heart I’ll always be consider your child
Just like you’ll always know that deep inside your soul your love for me has become completely blind
For in the morning when I awake I’ll be finally be able to see your loving face
For in the morning I’ll be standing upon your golden kingdom
Waiting patiently to greet my unholy fate
But until then as the light from the moon begins to slowly fade away
I’ll shed one last tear and pray my soul away
