A Sonnet To Learn
When you buried your soul you ceased to live
And then you soon forgot that you had life.
Without feeling you had self hate to give
And wished to live alone, a blind deaf wife.
There’s no future without past clarity,
And only then will you find closure true.
With bad nightmares self-blame and chastity
Your broken heart leaks love like morning dew.
With rising light of new dawn sun, look up
Remember back, the stranger you once were
The mirror shows in light of day, the now,
Beautiful face, with passions soon to stir.
Let not the past dictate your present ways
Its time to see the now and pleasant days.
