A Single Snowfall

       ################### ################
          ####################################

I'm one of a trillion snowflakes, falling towards the earth
Unique in every perspective, arbitrarily shaped at birth
An individual on the wind, blowing sideways up and down
We bond gently as a family, to adopt a glistening gown

unity in diversity! beautiful done! congrats on your win! David, nature is a great example of such diversity but people are the most difficult to merge and come together!

Ain't that the truth Krish, I probably over-romanticised the concept of a big happy snowflake family, inevitably avalanches will happen, and all hell breaks loose, it's the nature of universe, cheers David

Thank you Alex, it's still a mystery how the graphics idea came about, simple yet they do somehow enhance the poem cheers David

Oh, that's beautiful! I've thought of snowflakes - each one so different, yet they come together to build a snowman! There's a lesson there...Congratulations!

amazed? not even the grain of sand shares exactness ;] Cows appear to posses exact, yet don't be deceived, there are sees about them...liked this reminder dear poet? Once i found and examined three snow flakes which were exact triplicate...well, one was a dirty blond;)Have a great writing day sir...much love, james

Thank you James, nature truly is amazing, arbitrarily designing each one different, though the human snowflakes are designed by the parents me thinks, great comments cheers David Reply

One among many, each different and yet alike. Food for thought for humans to ponder. Makes ya go, hmmmm.

Heya Jenna, hmmmm is good, if I can evoke one with my poem I'm a happy guy, your so right analogies for us mere mortals to ponder, sand grains, snowflakes, and stars in the cosmos, cheers David

This write evokes the magic and splendorous uniquness of a single snowflake which ultimately becomes united with trillions of other snowflakes and forms a skiing slope for example in Switzerland, or can represent a family who comes together at Christmas time or Thanksgiving to enjoy the unity and spirituality of such a gathering. Brilliant write. Hugs and blessings, Jennifer.

An uplifting comment Jennifer, I was attempting to analogise the snowflake to human perception, becoming aware of life and bonding with one's family, sometimes fleeting, sometimes permanent, so delighted you enjoyed this one, cheers David
