A Single Shadow

Our goal should be standing so near Jesus,
That the Devil observes a single shadow;
Show us ourselves as others might see us,
And let the love in our heart’s overflow.
You don’t have to think of me as an Eagle,
Just don’t mistake me for a lowly sparrow.
For I now follow Jesus, the one who’s regal,
This keeps me on the straight and narrow.
