A Simple Fruit
As a man walks towards the apple orchard
In search of something to brighten his day
He spots the most perfect apple fallen from a tree
A castaway from the other juicy fruits
Suspended from their home
He picks up the apple and observes
The glint of the Sun's reflection on the red surface
And, he believes, he has found the very thing he needed
To brighten his day
He decides to be unselfish
To feed this apple to someone in need
To feed this apple to a poor man
But the world isn't always as bright as it seems
For you see
He himself was the poor man
