A Simple Exercise
During morning’s gray and early tide
I go to sit down at my Father’s side
and tell him all that worries me today
the troubles of this world that come my way.
I feel his listening presence in my soul.
He hears each single prayer as it unfolds
and with the simple words my heart grows lighter,
envisioning the problems getting brighter.
There is no greater power than belief,
an honest prayer to heaven for relief.
No need to wallow in the sweat of fear.
Our loving, gracious Father’s always near.
Each day I am afraid of times like these
with the world all infested with disease.
But I have a loving Father who’s in charge
and for him there's no problem that’s too large.
