A Silk Purse Made From Sows Ear-W
Laws are made by Congress for public
Public suffer by virtue of its click
Law maker keep loopholes
As they don’t have souls
Claim to be more than equal to check.
No lack of *Napoleon or *Snowball
Workhorses like *Boxer at their call
To use and abuse *Windmill
They choose their own deal
People left pauper after their fall.

Third Place winner in
Contest: Double Limerick by JOhn Freeman & Carolyn Devonshire
Inspired Linda-marie"s Limerick "Zip It"
U.S.A. Congress imposes the LAW,
"Do as I say, but not do" hence the flaw,
While we earn large salary,
You struggle in poverty,
An amendment will just stick in our craw.

** Napoleon and Snowball are the leaders in Animal Farm fighting for the power.
Boxer is a character who looks on which side of the bread is buttered.
Windmill just a symbol of a project thro' which the politicians grind their axe.
