A Short Musing

I'm sure you've all heard the saying:

'If you love something, set them free.
If they come back, they're yours.
     If they don't.
     They never were.'

I decided to test this theory. I took my two teenagers deep
into the woods where I left them.

To make a long story short. I never saw those two
         ungrateful kids again.

But don't judge them too harshly...
         I did move.

                                The End

*For those who might be interested. I will be posting my cartoon 'Bob's your Uncle' on my homepage. A new one will appear every couple of days.

Hi David - this gave me a chortle - those darn ungrateful kids! Hope you are having a good weekend (and are washing your hands)

Thank you for the kind words. I try to use humor in my poems as much as I can since my wife no longer finds me funny. Trust me. That ship has sailed. Have a great day.

haha! Reminds me of the Beadle in Oliver Twist, the way he starved the orphans. Cheerio! ~ gw

There is a fine line between something that is funny and something that is mean. I hope I came down on the right side. Have a great day my friend.
