A Sea of Colour
In the corner of the field
Nothing ever seemed to grow,
The soil there too hard to yield,
So no seed did the farmer sow.
The winds though brought a visitor,
Who found the corner to its taste.
It set roots to pierce the soil,
Too sheltered there, to go to waste.
And so it grew to be revealed,
Its seeds now spreading far and wide.
Spring brought forth a sea of colour
As bluebells, claimed the countryside.
