A Scene Captured

A lake scene before me, distinctively shines A white tipped, gray mountain on the distant shore Snow covers the ice in distance, from here to there Fragile bare trees stand on the edge of footsteps The sky is bright blue without reflections below But, seeming brighter in winter with contrasts of colors There is a sense of peace in the still silence it shows And all of this comes from a tile painted long ago - Placed in front of me - Heidi Sands 2/4/21

Hello Heidi, I love the images you describe in this poem called 'A scene captured'. Rightly named, and so well. So important, yet so hard sometimes; to find the silence that brings about greater peace we all seek. -Richard

You replicated the scene very nicely indeed. Nature even in a painted scene still inspires us.
