A Scary Place
The world has become a scary place;
global warming haunts the human race.
Climate change occurs at lightning pace,
leaving us little time to prepare.
And yet, no one seems to even care;
only some vague feeling of despair.
No sense of urgency in the air
that the world we know may soon be gone.
People are piggy banks to a con;
emptied so the rich can carry on.
And spinning lies on the white house lawn,
greed tried to destroy democracy.
Disciple of aristocracy,
Trump is the height of hypocrisy.
And touting total autocracy,
he'll push the world to the brink of war.
Wealthy beyond belief, he scams more,
like nothing we've ever seen before.
And because that mouse has learned to roar,
America is a scary place.
