A Saving Grace

A saving grace
Oh lord
The burden I carry is too much
Your word says
You give us what we can handle
I can no longer handle this
I am falling deeper in the hole
With no way out
Waiting for sunny days
The forecast calls for rain
I fear I may drown
Trying my best to stay afloat
I lost all hope
I cry out
My voice goes unheard
Treading the waters
Grabbing anything so I do not sink
I scratch at the wall of my self prison
There is no way out
I feel like just letting go
I accept the sin of my days
You wait for me to call
Will your helping hand
Pull me from the pits of despair
Stopping the rain of a broken man
My hand is reaching up to the sky
Today I do not want to die…..
