Through the hushed whisper of the breeze Flowing through the majestic circling pine trees I sense that I have stepped Into a sacred hallowed space A GARDEN OF ROSES A heady perfume hits the senses Euphoric, Exhilarating, Enticing, Ethereal comes to mind Heaven sighs in a high frequency of vibrations To whisk one away to never before felt heights An Awe descends on me It's as if time itself has frozen A spiritual and mystical alignment Encased In A Timeless Capsule Of Love Reserved for the weary of heart perhaps? Roses from all nations scintillate in complete harmony Where no negative emotion except love Dares Enter ANGELS SING FROM ABOVE And I feel it deep in my pores I see it in the mother who lifts her child to smell a rose I see the artist who strives to capture its beauty In the frail old lady whose carer brings her wheel chair close to the Blooms In the star crossed lovers In the older couple who stare fascinated at the thorns on the stems Perhaps contemplating their past journey That is now in a blissful state of BLOOM And I wonder to myself Since roses from countries around the world Can bloom in complete harmony Why can’t we as humans do the same?
Footnote: Dedicated to my Mum, whose love for roses shone through with her peaceful nature and her love for peace and harmony in the family. 'La Vie en Rose' was one of her favorite songs. MAY ALL NATIONS LIVE IN PEACE This poem Is Not about the 120 varieties of Roses represented by the best species from 120 different nations. This poem Is Not about the beautiful hues from almost black red, to sanguine reds, pinks, orange, yellows, delicate Harlequin tri-colours of shades of red to cream or the unusual roses of blues and even almost indigos. All these pictures you can see on the net if you look up the Ryoseni Temple in Nara Osaka which we visited on our recent trip to Japan. This poem Is Not about the hundreds and thousands of Rose blossoms encircled by a thousand pine trees. This poem Is About the concept behind this Rose garden established in 1957 as a living prayer for Peace and Harmony among all nations, not long after WWII. This poem Is About the tangible positive, peaceful energy that pervades these gardens. A gentle breath of wind is instrumental to the delicate petals scintillating in orchestration and releasing the beautiful fragrance throughout this massive Rose garden. This is a garden that binds Nations together with Roses that are not only an international symbol of Peace, Romance and Love, but it is no coincidence that it is a species with the highest harmonic vibrational energy frequency of 320 mhz. A most beneficial and elevating energy to our well being. (Humans have a frequency of 62 mhz to 68 mhz at full health). Let’s bring back LOVE & HARMONY people - starting right HERE. very nice write...the rose must be the most tampered-with flower species to have achieved such a great number of hybrids...rather like dogs and cats...I do like rose water but I have always preferred scented flowers that were thornless...very interesting about the vibrational frequencies...I shall be reading more about that... :)

Oh Robert! this is such a nice compliment. Thank you for your encouraging remarks. But in truth it's the Rose Garden that was the inspiration which is an example to all. Pink Roses were my Mum's favorite flower too - I imagined her presence in all the hundreds of pink roses 'smiling' and giving off energy vibrations. Thank you very much my friend...Maria

An excellent, beautiful poem within a poem, Maria! I have seen some very lovely rose gardens, but this Japanese one, thanks to your poem, will stay rooted in my mind. I understand that both the song and dedication to your mum helped raise your offering to a higher level. Well done! You too deserve a rose:) Regards // paul

Hi Maria, i used to have a garden filled with roses. Now, there is not a one. Health issues meant getting rid of the garden but i have my memories. I always felt peace sitting in the garden. When i think of those times i still can feel the peace. I do love the blessed rose, the queen of flowers. I can understand these gardens bringing peace to the visitors. This is poetic excellence with such wonderful content. This is a definite save. Hugs....Mike. XX

Wow, Maria, what a beautiful message offered to us from a garden of roses blooming 'in complete harmony'. After reading your exquisite poem and comments I felt like singing 'Maria' from West Side Story! Why? Because yours is such a wonderful, kind and generous voice :) Amitiés P.S. I bet your husband has sung that song to you a hundred times!

Maria, this is exquisite. The whole, your beautiful poem, your notes and the music. It's a triangle of love and harmony. It's time that we learn about more symbols of love to unite us, instead of what tears us apart. Thank you!

Thanks for your comments Darren my friend, I was very interested in hearing your comments and you have expressed exactly of what the garden stands for - It wasn't only us but every one in that garden picked up on that energy. This is the place Japanese go to for health and healing. I'm so glad you like the music too - The artist really expressed the sentiments in her lyrics... Maria xxx

It is lovely that you have written this poem in honor of your mother Maria. I love this song you have posted. I wish you had included her name as I'm not familiar with her, but she sings the song beautifully. I instantly realized that your poem was a metaphor for the harmony between all countries. Being an aroma-therapist I am familiar with the high-frequency of the Rose. I know how many petals it takes just to acquire one drop of Rose oil, lifting the physical and emotional spirit. Brava! 7 +

I am absolutely thrilled that you liked the poem Connie, thanks for the high rating. I have now added the young singers name, Daniela Andrade, thanks for reminding me. She is good isn't she? The lyrics I feel are the most representative of the poem. You never cease to surprise me Connie, even an aroma-therapist, that's fantastic. Keep well ..... Maria xxx

What a beautiful poem with an even more beautiful message. It is obvious this is coming straight from your heart my friend, which seems to be as beautiful as any rose ever could be. I didn't know that about roses, the harmonic vibrational energy, but I do now. I have many rose bushes on my property and will look on them in an entirely different light now. Thank you for sharing this and for delivering such a wonderful and perfect message for all.
