A Return To Seasons In Shadow
A Season for war
We rage in twilight…
At the edge of our reason.
Winter surges at the realm,
Summer comes to slay,
Spring tries to heal,
Fall loves the decay.
Black branches clutch;
Sun rays oppress the fortitude.
Flowers fall to dust
Leaves burn in the cool of coming frost.
Seasons in shadow cover the soul
Thoughts brake...
Victors solute shallow Victories
Sacrificed bury the slain.
War comes to the spirit of nations
As tribes rally the cry
Peace: A dream caught in the spider webs
Of jaded glories.
It rages across seas,
Visionscapes of the Mind.
The war to end all...
The bells toll in Great Ghostly
Cathedrals of Perpetual Spires.
Winter covers its dead in white,
Spring licks its wounds,
Summer burns its lost souls,
Fall morns it's missing children.
Everything turns a cycle upon cycle...
Everything dies, tries to realize & is new.
Wars comes n goes but the eternal seasons remain!
A Return to Seasons in Shadow…
