This scarecrow is no country bumpkin His bottom and head are ripe pumpkin Touch him if you dare He’ll give you a scare By pricking your hand with a bodkin Inspired by the picture Lin sent to me 25-09-17

Oh, as always, Jan, you are a hoot! Can you believe when I visited my (by 14 years) younger sister, years ago, she mooned my two daughters. Oh, yeah, they still remember her showing herself...lol! I think you and her would get along very well ;)

lol Kim, in 'real life' I am quiet and reserved - I just have this wacky sense of humour when it comes to writing poems and I try and make people smile:-) hugs jan xx

A bodkin is used for sewing and is for making holes in thick cloth or leather - OUCH!:-) hugs jan xx

Oh Jan, you did the picture justice. I knew you'd write a great one! Here's my take...now you've inspired me. His overalls fell down in a pumpkin field/ What unsightly buttocks were revealed/ The look on his face/ was one of disgrace/ His bum-kins were no longer concealed

The wiggle worm peeked out his head...no longer in the pumpkin bed...the earth far below...oh where would he go... empty hallows he sure did dread
