A Rambling Poet's Prayer
ear's for prayer
are here and there
ear's for prayer
are everywhere
everywhere
ear's for prayers
are you there, are you there
can you hear me
do you care
if spoken
have my words like light
divided darkness
in it's flight
if whispered
with my eye's stayed closed
would it perice the air
and make sure He knows
if cried out
in the scream of tongues
"My Heavenly Father,
thou who was hung!"
if thoughts were messengers
in times of greatest needs
would it be nessisary
for my thoughts to plead
if told
would ear's listen
and hands unfold
if felt
wouldn't all forces of nature
just melt
and as a sign
just for fun
can i hear
that crack of thunder
the sound of your voice
an awesome wonder
for ear's for prayer
they are there, they are there
they are there
