A Rainy April Day

A Rainy April Day

Like rolling pebbles on rooftops,
Gentle thunder welcomed a gentler rain;
The Lord gave a coatless Easter, but knew
Emerald grass and foliage thirst, so
Waited ‘til Friday morning,
To send a book-reading soft rain.
How silent it sounded as it fell,
How peaceful was the day
Of the mellow April rain.

" rolling pebbles on rooftops" what a magical expression! The phenomenon is really enchanting as much as your poem dearest, Sunlite!
