A Raindrop Lullaby
Small raindrops
pitter patter
against my window.
The sound the raindrops make
is nature’s soothing music,
a light shower lullaby.
No winds are howling,
so the raindrops fall softly,
almost like a glistening mist,
kissing the leaves on trees
and the lovely petaled faces
of my flowers.
I step out onto my deck
for a while,
enjoying the gentle song
of pitter patter.
Come, little raindrops.
Keep nourishing the plants
around my house.
I go back to my bedroom
and lay my head on my pillow
until the raindrop lullaby
lulls me to
a noon-time nap.
